Why Wattleseed?

  • Wattleseeds are nutritious, high in protein, and rich in minerals and antioxidants. They offer a unique nutty flavor, making them great for various dishes.

  • Wattle trees thrive in arid conditions and poor soil, requiring minimal water. They promote biodiversity and help restore ecosystems.

  • Wattleseed can be ground into flour, added to muesli, or used as seasonings, providing a nutritious alternative in modern cuisine.

  • Wattleseeds can help businesses stand out by offering unique, sustainable products that appeal to health-conscious and environmentally aware consumers.

  • If you're just getting started with wattleseed, we recommend starting with longifolia. It's versatile and works well in a variety of dishes, both sweet and savoury.

    Here are some pairing suggestions:

    - For sweet dishes, provincialis is an excellent choice.

    - For meat rubs and savoury dishes, retinodes pairs beautifully.

Overall, the differences between species are subtle, so any variety can be adapted to suit your needs.

  • Health: Improving health and nutrition through the incorporation of native wattleseed in various foods.

Innovation: 35 ha model orchard. Largest dedicated wattleseed orchard in Australia.
